BCC was founded in 2005 as a part time endeavor, fueled by the recent restoration of a 1968 Mustang Coupe done purely for the love of the car and the classic/collector car hobby.
In the beginning it was a 2 car garage, me putting in as many hours as humanly possible after my “real” job of Mechanical Engineer, and when the all too often need for an extra set of hands arose enlisting the help of my wife Angel. Yes, that means setting engines and replacing transmissions, laying out graphics and wet sanding, hanging doors and installing hoods, she has helped me with essentially every aspect of restoring a car at this point.
Fast forward several years and the steady diet of 80-90 hr combined work weeks something had to give, I had to choose one or the other. If you’re reading this today you obviously know which direction I chose but I will assure you that it was the single most difficult decision I have made thus far and without the constant support of my wife I would be writing a very different story. To walk away from an engineering career that I had spent a solid portion of my life working toward seemed to many, a fool’s errand. However, through all of that my wife was as steadfast in her belief as my clients were in the results.
The full time chapter of the story began in a small shop in Bow, NH with one full time employee, yes that would be me, and little room for error. I started each and every day with the same mantra, often aloud as I unlocked for the day…”Failure is not an option.” I’m sure many can relate to this notion but for me it was this experience that really drove it home.
Fast forward again to present day and as I unlock the shop in Barnstead, NH I still begin my day the same way…”Failure is not an option.” Although today we have a 20,000 sq. ft shop, 10 employees and usually thirty or so cars in the shop in various phases of the process, and I am genuinely “livin’ the dream”.
For most people, automobile restoration is an Art that you would love to have the time to master. Maybe you inherited your fathers project car or found a classic in a field that you just couldn't walk away from. You know it is beautiful and will be a dream when it is finally done. Time takes hold and the beauty sits in the garage waiting for attention.
We make the process as easy and enjoyable as possible for you. We genuinely care about your car and your experience, and it shows. Our first-time customers continually become our long term customers.
